Child education, mother, risale-i nur


The aim of this study is to describe and classify the expressions of child education in Risale-i Nur and the mother's prominence in this process. In the study, case study method was used in qualitative research methods. The research data were obtained by using the document review method. In this direction, firstly, the sections related to child education were scanned in the books of Risale-i Nur. The books were searched in their digital formats using the keywords "child, mother and child education". Then, in the related sections, Bediuzzaman Said Nursi's expressions on child education and mother's prominence were determined. Finally, these expressions are categorized and interpreted under themes. The data were analysed by descriptive analysis method. According to the findings, 3 themes related to child education emerged. These themes are; mother, child education and parental influence on the child. According to research results, the first and most effective teacher of children is their mothers. For this reason, mothers play an important role in child education. Parents should begin their children's education when their children are young and pay attention to critical periods in development. Parents should be a good role model for their children with all their experiences.
