جهود اإلمام بديع الزمان سعيد النورسي في خدمة الفكر اإلسالمي

Abstract

This article deals with efforts of Imam Nursi in the service of Islamic
thought. The article is divided into two aspects: the first one is about the biography
of Imam Nursi, the second aspect is about the features of the efforts played by imam
Nursi in the above-mentioned field.
The paper asserts that the most important role played by imam Nursi is his
splendid effort in working hard to rescue faith. Imam Nursi believes that the only
way by which faith could be rescue is to follow the light that comes from the Qur’an.
Imam Nursi believes that following philosophy and science would cause
many sorts of harms to the faith.
The article exposes the importance of the following the traditions of the
prophet; for the prophet is guide to the happiness in this life and in the hereafter.
The article exposes that Imam Nursi exerts many efforts to encourage the
students in the Muslim world to combine religious sciences with modern sciences
about universe and human being.
Imam Nursi believes that religious sciences illuminate the hearts of human
being, while modern sciences elucidate the intellect of man.
