Child Education Within The Framework of Sunnah Al-Saniyya And Risale-i Nur

Abstract

It is very important to raise the children who constitute our future correctly and well. Different studies have been carried out on this subject. The main source for Muslims in this subject, as in other subjects, is the Qur'an and the words and behaviours of the Prophet (saw). In this study, in addition to child education according to the Sunnah of our Prophet (saw), an examination was made by including Risale-i Nur works, which is a spiritual exegesis of the Qur'an. Since child education is a very wide subject and covers many subheadings, the main parts will be briefly discussed here with subheadings. In addition to the starting age of education, the methods that is useful to be applied during the education process, the age and methods of faith and worship in teaching the child his religion will be examined in the context of Sunnah and tafsir. In order to understand the subjects more accurately, some case studies are included in the article.
