Abstract

This article aims to explain the concept of selfhealing and selfcare from the perspective of Badi'uzzaman Sa'id Nursi in the Lama'ât Treatise, Twenty-Fifth Light. The Twenty-Fifth Light is Sa'id Nursi's interpretation of providing solutions and medicine for someone who is hit by a test or disaster. This Twenty-Fifth Light then gives birth to Twenty-Five Medicines which are expected to be one of the cures for a person's trials or disasters. Through the literature research method and the thematic interpretation method, the author describes several medicines from the Twenty-Five Medicines, then links them with several verses of the Koran and the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, so it is found that the Twenty-Five Medicines presented by Sa'id Nursi can classified into three groups based on the relationships associated. The three groups are; relationship to Allah, relationship to yourself and relationship with other people. It was then found that the relationship with oneself was more dominant in Sa'id Nursi's Twenty-Five Medicines, so this shows that there are several concepts of self-healing and self-care. This concept is awareness as "abdullah", active patience, prayer and trust. The concept of selfhealing and selfcare from Sa'id Nursi's perspective is expected to become a form of promotive, preventive and curative action in a person's selfhealing and selfcare so that he or she is able to better understand life (quality of life).
