The Understanding of Politics of Imam Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and Reasons for His Avoidance

Abstract

This article deals with the concept of politics for Imam Nursi through his letters. The writer talked about the concept of politics with its different dimensions and the reasons why Imam Nursi was not preoccupied with politics in the second period of his life. The writer tries to shed light on the exemplary role played by Imam Nursi in his preaching and scholarly life. Imam Nursi changed his approach to effective politics and the arrangement of interest in politics in the priorities of the individual's life within the framework of global and local changes. This article deals with the evaluation of the words of Imam Bediuzzaman Said Nursi, who mentioned him in his writings on this subject, and his lack of preoccupation with politics. The method used in this article is the historical method in addition to the analytical method. The paper reached some important results.
