This article deals with the identification of aspects and features of the biography of the late Imam Bediüzzaman Said Nursi, and an exposure of his jihad to save the faith. The article mentions the Imam’s efforts in serving the Risale-i Nur.

The article, being based on a historical research approach that examines the facts, descriptions, interpretations and analyzes, is founded mainly on what Imam Nursi wrote in the Letters of Light, along with the testimonies of his contemporaries who lived these facts from his faithful disciples, led by Ustaz Ahmed Husrev Efendi.

The article starts off with four themes to introduce a summary of the biography of Imam Nursi, and then touched on his tireless efforts to guide and advocate for the good of his ummah, and his composition of the messages of light and his struggle with his students to spread these messages and the injustice and oppression he suffered for this purpose by the circles opposing Islam. The article provides a definition of the Risale-i Nur and what is unique about it as a moral interpretation of the Holy Qur’an, and sheds light on its general characteristics, in addition to being a strong lesson in Islamic theology

The article clearly discusses the regenerative function of Imam Nursi and what reward he and the Letters of Light had received by jointly presenting the Holy Quran in a manner that suits and fits the understanding and perception of this day and age. He received the honor of regeneration which was accepted by the nation’s scholars.

The article refers to the spread of the Da’awa of the Risale-i Nur, and the demonstration of the progress of the Da’awa after the departure of the Imam, and how Ustaz Ahmed Husrev Efendi founder of Hayrat Foundation proceeded to promote and continue with the Da’awa after the death of Imam Bediuzzaman Nursi, upright with no deviation from the path of Risale-i Nur, and without distortion or sabotage to the moral legacy of Imam Bediuzzaman. The article also deals with a part of the biography, progress and efforts of the Third Mentor to the students of the Risale-i Nur, Sheikh Said Nuri, Allah sustains his bounty.
